People take the big boat or a smaller launch around Lake Atitlan to get to the other villages where there isn't car access. Or people take a launch for fun! Most boat trips take 15 minutes to one hour.
I just spent 4 days at Casa Sonrisas and every minute was a delight. The owner, Joan, made every effort to make my stay comfortable...way beyond the call of duty in my opinion.
